Unopened packages

Target's diaper return policy requires that diapers be unopened in order to be eligible for return. This is a common policy among retailers, as it helps to ensure that the diapers are in new and sellable condition.

Hygiene: Unopened diapers are more hygienic than opened diapers. This is important because diapers are used to absorb bodily fluids, and opened diapers could be contaminated with bacteria or other germs.
Resale: Unopened diapers can be resold, while opened diapers cannot. This is because opened diapers are considered to be used and therefore not suitable for resale.
Fraud prevention: Requiring diapers to be unopened helps to prevent fraud. This is because it makes it more difficult for people to return used diapers for a refund.
