According to rumors

Many fans of the show attacked Mayor with alleged Lip Filler rumors a year ago in a thread of a Reddit post. Many people in the thread have commented on Mayor’s appearance, particularly her fuller-looking lips.

However, there has been no confirmation from the TV personality that the rumor is true. According to the explorer’s oldest Instagram images from 2012, there have been no significant changes over the course of 9 years, which refutes the rumors.

It appears that this was not the first time someone had made a remark about her appearance. The adventurer revealed in her 2011 book, ‘Pink Boots and a Machete,’ that she has met many people who have judged her by the way she looks even before saying hello.

Not Your Average Working Mother

In a 2011 interview with National Geography, the explorer discussed the motivation and challenges of her job. Mayor states at the start of the interview that she began working as a field researcher in 1996. She was not yet a mother at the time, but her motivation stemmed from the fact that she did not want her children to miss out on the wilderness experience that she had.

In the same interview, the explorer admitted that as a mother, it is always difficult to say goodbye to your children. And, unlike a typical working mother, she is often absent from their lives for days, weeks, or even months at a time, with no communication, which makes it even more difficult.

However, the fact that she is doing this for her children motivates her. The adventurer also stated that with everything she does, she hopes to inspire her daughters to pursue their dreams no matter how difficult they may appear and to set a good example for them.
